    Purpose of the Role

     

    The Key Account Manager – North will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our most important clients in the region. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, who can identify opportunities for growth and drive business success.

    Main Responsibilities

    Ensure retention of Key Accounts in the region and develop opportunities you identified and maximise on them. As Key Account Manager you will also maintain high contact levels with each key account and produce accurate and timely reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activity.

     

    Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential impacts on key accounts and analyse account performance metrics and prepare reporting as necessary. As Key Account Manager you will also negotiate pricing and agreements to maximize profitability while ensuring client satisfaction and ensure accurate and timely budget, forecasting, and reporting activity to senior management .

     

    The Ideal Candidate

     

    The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a Key Account Manager or in a similar sales role, with a proven track record of managing high-value accounts. A knowledge of the highways, surfacing and aggregates industry, ideally gained from a product manufacturing perspective is also preferred. The ideal key account manager will also have a strong understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management & systems.

     

    You will have strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills and be proficient in analysing data to derive insights and drive decision-making.

    Package Description

    Here at Colas, we offer a great total compensation package, including:

    • A salary of £48,000 - £51,000 per annum

    • Our Colas Pension Scheme has combined contributions of up to 10%
