Your Role at KIK
Join our KIK team as a **Production Supervisor - 1st Shift** We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee all production and processing activities at our facility. This person will enhance the efficiency, quality, and safety of our production operations. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, including but not limited to standard operating procedures, production, processing, training and supervision. Duties also include managing and mentoring production associates, performing and organizing safety protocols and improving efficiency while implementing safety processes and procedures with strong leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Supervise shift line operation and performance
• Supervisor, lead, and participate in daily set-up, maintenance, changeovers and troubleshooting
• Ensure adherence to quality standards
• Follow and support all safety programs
• Maximize performance of blow mold equipment
• Conduct quality checks and implement corrective action as necessary
• Preserve blow mold equipment through organizing proper machine cleaning
• Focus on improving overall quality, cycle times, machine performance
• Focus on reducing down-time and scrap reduction
• Supervise and maintain a stable process and product quality goals
• Troubleshooting capability for machine, auxiliary equipment (leak testers, flamers, sleeving machine, etc.) and quality related problems working towards a root cause and permanent corrective action
• Minor repairs to blow molding and auxiliary equipment
• Training others on blow molding operation when necessary
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Work well with people in achieving shift company goals
• Assist with various projects
• Accurate documentation of daily production paperwork at the end of each shift
What You’ll Bring
• Two-year degree or significant experience in area of discipline
• Minimum of three years related experience in a manufacturing environment
• Training in blow molding equipment preferred
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role
• Demonstrated leadership and self-starter skills
• Demonstrated drive and potential to assume higher levels of responsibility.
• General understanding of business principles and typical business practices.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work cross-functionally with other departments.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, and other production related software
• Document and analyze downtime issues and put forward corrective actions
