Distribution Center Loss Prevention Supervisor
Position Overview:
The Distribution Center Loss Prevention Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and implementing loss prevention policies and procedures within the distribution center. This role involves supervising the loss prevention team, conducting investigations, and working closely with other departments to ensure a secure and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in loss prevention, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to develop and enforce effective loss prevention strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
+ **Supervision and Management:**
+ Source, hire, and train Loss Prevention Representatives in the facility.
+ Lead, mentor, and manage a team of loss prevention associates. (Contractual and Proprietary)
+ Schedule and conduct regular training sessions for the loss prevention team to ensure they are knowledgeable about policies and procedures.
+ Evaluate/discuss direct report’s job performance using objectives set with quarterly conversations.
+ Provide timely and accurate feedback to direct reports.
+ Develop schedules for LP Team and maintain appropriate facility coverage.
+ **Loss Prevention Strategies:**
+ Develop, implement, and maintain loss prevention programs to reduce theft, shrinkage, and other forms of loss within the distribution center.
+ Analyze data and reports to identify trends and potential areas of loss, and create action plans to address these issues.
+ Prevent, detect, and deter theft / losses and identify and rectify safety concerns.
+ Enforce safety and loss prevention policies and procedures and review with Ops, HR and appropriate parties.
+ **Investigations:**
+ Conduct thorough investigations into incidents of theft, fraud, and other violations.
+ Collaborate with local law enforcement and other relevant authorities during investigations as necessary.
+ Prepare detailed reports on findings and provide recommendations for preventing future incidents.
+ Conducts BAT (breath alcohol testing) and Oral Swap testing as part of Substance Abuse Program.
+ **Security Management:**
+ Oversee the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of security systems, including cameras and alarm systems.
+ Conduct regular security audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
+ Monitor CCTV and alarms to ensure proper access control is maintained.
+ Enforce perimeter access control policies and ensure only authorized personnel have access to restricted areas.
+ Ensure all safety related concerns including WPV incidents are handled and communicated appropriately.
+ **Collaboration and Communication:**
+ Work closely with other departments, such as operations and human resources, to ensure loss prevention strategies align with overall company goals.
+ Communicate effectively with distribution center staff to promote awareness and understanding of loss prevention practices.
+ **Compliance and Reporting:**
+ Ensure compliance with all company policies and relevant legal regulations regarding loss prevention.
+ Maintain accurate records of loss prevention activities, incidents, and investigations.
+ Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on loss prevention activities and outcomes.
Qualifications:
+ **Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
+ **Experience:**
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in loss prevention, security management, or a related field, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
+ Experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is highly desirable.
+ **Skills and Competencies:**
+ Strong leadership and team management skills.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Proficiency in security systems and loss prevention technology.
+ Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
+ Primarily based in the distribution center with some travel to other locations as needed.
+ May require working outside of regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on the needs of the distribution center.
Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
+ Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
+ Must be able to navigate various areas of the distribution center, including climbing ladders and stairs as necessary.
**Pay Details:** $24.00 to $25.00 per hour
