    About this Role

     

    As a Generalist with a focus on Recruiting & Onboarding, you will play a crucial role in sourcing, hiring, and integrating substation field workers, electrical journeymen, commissioning techs, and others into our Substation/Relay company. This position requires exceptional multitasking skills, strong attention to detail, and a deep understanding of HR best practices—particularly in hiring skilled labor and ensuring compliance with FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) and IRA jobs.     What You'll Do

     

    + Manage the full recruitment cycle, focusing on sourcing, screening, and hiring positions for substation and relay projects.

    + Develop and implement recruiting strategies to attract skilled trade workers and licensed drivers.

    + Ensure driver candidates meet FMCSR requirements, DOT compliance, licensing, and safety standards.

    + Build relationships with trade schools, industry networks, electrical training programs, and referral sources to maintain a steady pipeline of qualified candidates.

    + Oversee and enhance the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.

    + Maintain compliance with employment laws, DOT/FMCSR regulations, and company policies.

    + Maintain legal compliance with the state of Texas regarding apprenticship programs for our IRA projects,

    + Assist with additional HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management.

    + Thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects simultaneously.

     

    What You'll Bring

     

    + Proven experience in recruiting and onboarding field workers in the Substation and Relay construction industry.

    + Strong knowledge of FMCSR requirements and DOT hiring compliance.

    + Experience with iCIMS or similar applicant tracking systems (preferred).

    + Deep understanding of sourcing strategies for skilled trade workers and licensed drivers.

    + Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    + Ability to multitask under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

    + Knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.

    + Proficiency in HR software and applicant tracking systems.
