    AVNET is seeking a dynamic and technically knowledgeable Wireless Market Development FAE to drive the adoption of cutting-edge wireless semiconductor solutions from our leading manufacturing partners in the Americas.

    About the Role:

    The Wireless Market Development FAE will be instrumental in expanding our market presence and driving revenue growth for wireless semiconductor products across our customer base. This role requires a deep understanding of wireless technologies, strong technical sales acumen, and the ability to effectively bridge the gap between our semiconductor partners' offerings and our customers' evolving needs. You will work closely with our sales teams and field application engineers (FAEs) to identify new opportunities, provide technical guidance, and facilitate successful design wins.

    Responsibilities:

    • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities for wireless semiconductor products within our existing and prospective customer base.

    • Understand customers' technical requirements, design challenges, and application needs in the wireless domain.

    • Champion the wireless product portfolios of our represented semiconductor manufacturers, effectively communicating their features, benefits, and technical advantages.

    • Collaborate with sales teams to develop and execute targeted sales strategies for key wireless accounts and applications.

    • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions to customers and internal teams on wireless semiconductor solutions.

    • Work closely with Field Application Engineers (FAEs) to provide technical support, design-in assistance, and problem resolution for wireless projects.

    • Maintain a strong understanding of relevant wireless standards (e.g., 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi, BLE, LoRaWAN, MATTER) and the corresponding product roadmaps of our semiconductor partners.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with technical decision-makers at customer organizations and with our partner manufacturers.

    • Participate in industry events, technical seminars, and conferences to promote our wireless offerings and generate leads.

    • Provide regular feedback to our semiconductor partners on market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

    • Track and report on business development activities, design win progress, and sales forecasts for wireless products.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.

    • 5 + years of experience in technical sales, business development, or field application engineering within the semiconductor or electronics distribution industry, with a strong focus on wireless technologies.

    • In-depth understanding of various wireless communication protocols, standards, and applications.

    • Proven ability to understand technical specifications, datasheets, and application notes for wireless semiconductor devices.

    • Excellent technical presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.

    • Strong business acumen and understanding of the sales cycle within a distribution environment.

    • Excellent interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills.

    • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization, collaborating with sales, FAEs, and supplier management teams.

    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

    • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience working with a broad range of wireless semiconductor manufacturers.

     

    Existing relationships with customers in relevant wireless market segments.
