Hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in Clarksville, TN

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal functionality of production machinery and equipment. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, improving reliability, and providing support to production associates. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with growth potential.

**Pay:** Up to $31hr.

**Shift:** 2nd shift (2:30pm - 11pm)

Responsibilities

+ Maintain and repair production machinery and equipment.

+ Exercise sound mechanical judgment to enhance system reliability.

+ Perform preventative maintenance as per schedule.

+ Assist with equipment installation, testing, and start-up.

+ Plan and implement corrective actions following management directions.

+ Maintain building, equipment, and grounds in a clean and orderly manner.

+ Purchase maintenance supplies and equipment parts as needed.

+ Provide guidance to production associates regarding machinery use and care.

+ Comply with all safety standards and regulations.

+ Responsible for 5S housekeeping system within maintenance work areas.

Essential Skills

+ Hydraulics and pneumatics expertise

+ Schematic reading and interpretation

+ Conveyor maintenance skills

+ Electrical troubleshooting

+ Maintenance repair knowledge

+ Relay logic understanding

+ Experience with 3-phase systems

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Two years of technical training strongly preferred

+ 3-5 years of maintenance experience required

+ Intermediate reading, writing, and arithmetic skills

+ Experience in manufacturing processes and machinery

+ Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, fluid power, mechanical, and plumbing systems

+ Capability to read and interpret drawings and follow routers

+ Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision

Work Environment

Working conditions are typical for a manufacturing environment, involving lifting materials and products up to 50 pounds. The role requires standing, walking, lifting, and bending to access machinery repairs. Flexibility for overtime and assisting on other shifts, if necessary, is expected.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clarksville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
