**Job Title:** Facilities Maintenance Technician

**Location:** Colorado Springs, Colorado

**Job Type:** Contract

**Schedule:** 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and functionality of our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. The technician will work closely with the Operations Manager and Facilities/Maintenance Manager to execute maintenance plans and respond to facility needs.

Key Responsibilities

+ Perform routine preventive maintenance and respond to repair requests across all facility areas.

+ Utilize hand and power tools to assemble, install, and repair equipment and infrastructure.

+ Interpret and work from AutoCAD drawings for maintenance and project execution.

+ Conduct general grounds maintenance and minor construction work.

+ Oversee monthly vehicle maintenance, including oil changes and safety inspections.

+ Maintain fire extinguishers, paint booth fire suppression systems, city water backflow devices, and ensure DOT compliance.

+ Carry out tasks involving carpentry, painting, cleaning, basic wiring, and HVAC system upkeep.

+ Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities or equipment maintenance.

+ At least 3 years of hands-on experience with electrical systems (120V, 240V, 480V).

+ Proven plumbing repair and installation skills (3+ years).

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with preventive maintenance.

+ Proficiency in MIG welding and basic metal fabrication.

+ Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.

+ Comfortable using computers and maintenance software.

+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

+ Basic math skills and a collaborative team mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with AutoCAD drafting.

+ Ability to patch and repair drywall.

+ Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance standards.

Work Environment

This position operates within a clean, temperature-controlled indoor manufacturing facility. The role requires physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
