    Job Title: Cabinet Builder

    Job Description

    Join a dynamic team in a large manufacturing facility specializing in custom cabinets. Start in the trim department with opportunities to move through various departments, gaining experience and skills to advance your career.

    Responsibilities

    + Follow job instructions, carefully inspect work processes, and maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment according to safety regulations.

    + Perform edge sanding using orbital sanders on doors and headers.

    + Inspect loose components and make necessary repairs.

    + Catch panels off the panel sander.

    + Hang components onto a paint line.

    + Install hinges onto doors.

    + Measure components, correspond order forms with products, install shelves, roll tray tracks, and inner components.

    + Screw in roll tray tracks, hang doors, and install drawers.

    + Package finished cabinets into cardboard boxes.

    + Quickly remove stain from the front and back of each component, ensuring to go with the grain of the wood.

    + Remove excess glaze on the face of each component, allowing glaze to remain in natural areas of the doors.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with hand tools and power tools.

    + Ability to use a tape measure accurately.

    + General production and woodworking skills.

    + Manual dexterity and carpentry skills.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 6 months of previous work experience.

    + Ability to lift 30 lbs.

    + Pass the tape measure test.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a large manufacturing facility with approximately 300 employees. The environment is loud in certain areas, and safety glasses and ear buds are provided. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 4:30 pm. The dress code requires closed-toed shoes and clothing without offensive content.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harrisburg, South Dakota.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
