    Job Title: Hospital Housekeeper

    Job Description

    This role involves maintaining cleanliness in hospital rooms, primarily after patient discharges. The worker will sanitize rooms between patients, requiring extensive walking and the ability to be on their feet throughout the day. Responsibilities include wiping down equipment, emptying trash, sweeping floors, dusting, cleaning spills, mopping, and swiping down surfaces as needed. The position demands attention to detail across multiple floors.

    Responsibilities

    + Sanitize hospital rooms between patient discharges.

    + Wipe down medical equipment and surfaces.

    + Empty trash bins and sweep floors.

    + Dust and clean spills as needed.

    + Mop and sanitize surfaces thoroughly.

    + Navigate multiple hospital floors with attention to detail.

    + Use issued iPhones to receive assignments and access cleaning tutorials.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience working with smartphone technology.

    + Ability to learn and navigate the hospital floor plan promptly.

    + Comfortable with extensive walking and standing for prolonged periods.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Previous experience in janitorial work within healthcare is preferred.

    + General janitorial experience is acceptable.

    + Willingness to transition from manufacturing/distribution to healthcare.

    + GED or diploma is preferred.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

    + Completion of a robust background check.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is very fast-paced and requires patience. The onboarding process may take several weeks, during which employees must demonstrate adaptability and resilience. Employees work a rotating schedule and must be available every other weekend and major holiday. The role demands a lot of walking throughout the hospital, and adherence to a strict attendance policy is necessary.

    This is a Contract position based out of Port Matilda, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
