    Medical Dermatology Medical Assistant:

    Description:

    Rooming patients and documents all vital information

     

    Scribing information for the dermatologist

     

    Drawing blood

     

    Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms

     

    Scheduling patient appointments

     

    Handles specimens for pathology according to prescribed standards

    Assist in procedure room maintenance, including case preparation, room turnover, and instrument processing

    Prepares the patient prior to the procedure; obtains and reconciles medical and surgical history, accurate list of medications and allergies. Documents appropriately in EMR

     

    Educate patients on treatment plans, expectations, and post-operative instructions

    Skills Details:

    suture removal, dermatology, scribing, phlebotomy, surgical instrumentation, and preparing exam rooms for procedures

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    Previous experience as a Medical Assistant, LPN, CDT, or Surgical Techs in a Dermatology.

     

    Knowledge of medical terminology a must and previous dermatology and skin care treatment is preferred

     

    Working knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterilization practices

     

    Experience with EHR and Practice Management System

     

    Phlebotomy certification, preferred

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.30/hr.
