Job Description
The Manager of Research Billing Compliance is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of a research billing compliance program. This role is crucial in ensuring all legal and institutional requirements are met, while fostering a culture of compliance and ethical standards in research billing. The manager will lead a team, guiding them to achieve strategic and operational objectives while ensuring quality and productivity.
Responsibilities
+ Manage daily work activities of the department staff to ensure quality, productivity, and functional excellence.
+ Assist in staffing decisions, including hiring and terminating employment.
+ Provide guidance and feedback to employees to help them strengthen specific knowledge and skills.
+ Facilitate effective team dynamics and teambuilding strategies.
+ Plan and organize day-to-day department operations and schedule activities.
+ Drive department service standards to impact customer satisfaction.
+ Ensure a safe and effective working environment, monitoring department safety plans and guidelines.
+ Respond to reported or suspected instances of research billing non-compliance.
+ Prepare policies and procedures associated with Clinical Research Billing Compliance.
+ Assist in budget development and manage department expenses within approved parameters.
+ Implement strategies to achieve financial targets and staffing needs.
+ Identify and implement innovative solutions for practice or workflow changes.
Essential Skills
+ Five years of progressively responsible experience related to research billing.
+ Proficiency in clinical research billing and EPIC.
+ Demonstrated skills and competencies necessary to perform the assigned job.
+ Effective communication skills across various channels.
+ Ability to interact confidently with patients, physicians, and co-workers.
+ Leadership qualities and critical thinking skills.
+ Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in business, hospital/healthcare administration, or a related field.
+ Master's degree preferred.
+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
+ Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in the workplace.
+ Applies sound judgment in compliance and monitoring.
Work Environment
This role offers an 8% bonus potential, which is rare for a clinical research role. The work environment is fast-paced and requires interaction with various healthcare professionals to ensure strong communication and seamless experiences. The role involves managing a small team and working with advanced systems like EPIC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $87000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
