Job Title: TIG Welder

Job Description

We are seeking skilled TIG Welders to join our production team, focusing on efficiency and quality. The role involves performing TIG welds on a weld table using jigs for higher volume projects, with the goal of minimizing post-work such as grinding and polishing. Candidates with the ability to fabricate and fit parts for custom projects are highly valued, although this is a smaller portion of the work.

Responsibilities

+ Perform TIG welding in a production environment with a focus on efficiency and quality.

+ Work primarily on a weld table using jigs for high-volume projects.

+ Produce TIG welds that require minimal post-work such as grinding and polishing.

+ Read blueprints and use tape measures to set up projects in jigs.

+ Fabricate and fit parts for custom projects when necessary.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 1 year of TIG welding experience, particularly on thin gauge metals.

+ Ability to perform TIG welding on stainless steel sheet metal.

+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and using tape measures.

+ Experience welding in a production environment focused on timely welds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in fabricating and fitting own parts is advantageous.

+ MIG welding skills are a plus for versatility in other areas or products.

Work Environment

The work environment includes openings on both the 1st shift (7am-3pm, Monday to Friday) and the 2nd shift (3pm-11pm, Monday to Friday) in Hanover, PA. The facility is equipped with various types of machines including laser cutters, brakes, punches, weld machines, and material handling equipment. The company is a large sheet metal manufacturer specializing in custom fabricated parts and sub-assemblies, with a focus on skilled trades.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
