Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated CDL A Driver for a position involving nightly departures from Cleveland, with scheduled arrival in Farmingdale, New York. This role involves primarily no-touch freight, where you will observe the loading and unloading process. The position offers a structured schedule and an opportunity to be home throughout the week.

Responsibilities

+ Depart from Cleveland at 7:30 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, arriving in Farmingdale by 6:00 AM the next day.

+ After a minimum of 10 hours off, return to duty to make airline/company pick-ups in either Farmingdale or Newark International Airport, stopping in Clarion before heading back to Cleveland.

+ Operate a 53-foot dry van tractor-trailer truck safely and efficiently.

+ Use assigned sleeper cab trucks from the Penske leased/maintained fleet, equipped with automatic transmission, EZ-pass, fuel card, and electronic logging device.

+ Properly track and document activity logs and report any issues or incidents to dispatch.

+ Inspect the truck before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance.

Essential Skills

+ Possess a valid CDL A license with Haz-Mat endorsement.

+ Maintain a clean driving record.

+ Ability to safely operate a 53-foot dry van tractor-trailer truck.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Possession of a DOT card.

+ Willingness to obtain a Haz-Mat endorsement within 90 days for a pay increase.

Work Environment

Work with sleeper cab trucks that are assigned to each driver, using Penske leased and maintained fleet. The role involves night shifts, ensuring that you are home throughout the week. Operate in a professional setting with automatic Freightliner and International trucks, ensuring comfort and reliability on the road.

This is a Permanent position based out of Berea, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $91000.00/yr.
