Job Title: Body Process Engineer
Job Description
The role of a Body Process Engineer involves analyzing manufacturing data to develop solutions that address manufacturing challenges. You will be responsible for developing systems to enhance process capability, identifying special process characteristics and their control limits, and managing continuous improvement projects to optimize model changes, new technologies, process modifications, and cost improvements.
Responsibilities
+ Identify and control special process characteristics.
+ Develop countermeasures for potential failure modes and effects analysis.
+ Create and maintain TPM inspection content to assist in process control.
+ Ensure product and process integrity through MPS implementation and process audits.
+ Perform process capability studies and audits to maintain high product quality.
+ Investigate process/product issues and implement effective countermeasures.
+ Evaluate work station layouts and validate process times for optimized design.
+ Plan for product changes and their impact on processes, equipment, and tooling.
+ Participate in production trials and verify closure of concerns.
+ Assist in closing concerns from quality audits.
+ Generate equipment and tooling specifications.
+ Provide training on process changes to assembly team members and leaders.
+ Evaluate alternative production processes and assess viability.
+ Analyze production statistics such as downtime, FTC, and quality concerns.
Essential Skills
+ A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in automotive engineering or equivalent.
+ Proficiency in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, and continuous improvement.
+ Strong problem-solving skills within a cross-functional team environment.
+ Excellent communication skills and teamwork capabilities.
+ Working knowledge of MS Office.
+ Knowledge of AutoCAD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.50 - $48.50/hr.
