Job Title: Landfill Gas Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and certified Landfill Gas Technician with over a year of experience in reading and tuning wellfields. The role involves traveling within the area for 1-3 landfills and supporting partner sites with both routine and non-routine maintenance. The successful candidate will be adept at pump maintenance, including pulling, cleaning, servicing, and replacement. Additionally, the role requires significant interaction with SEMs and probes, involving extensive walking across landfills.
Responsibilities
+ Travel to various landfills and partner sites to perform maintenance.
+ Read and tune wellfields effectively.
+ Maintain and service pumps, including pulling, cleaning, and replacing components as necessary.
+ Work extensively with SEMs and probes across the landfills.
+ Collect data and conduct environmental testing.
+ Troubleshoot issues and ensure efficient operation of landfill gas systems.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ years of experience in landfill gas reading, tuning, and data migration.
+ Experience with SEMs and probes.
+ Mechanical aptitude and experience in environmental field work.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting and using landfill gas reading software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ ISCO pipe fusion certification is a plus.
+ 40 HR HAZWOPER or 8 HR Refresher certification is a plus.
Work Environment
The role is based in landfills equipped with a GCCS methane system, which connects to a gas-to-energy plant. The position involves significant outdoor work, requiring physical stamina due to extensive walking. The work environment fosters professionalism and security, contributing to low employee turnover. Benefits include windshield drive time compensation for travel exceeding one hour from home, a daily Per Diem, and competitive pay rates.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
