    Phlebotomist

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a hospital or doctor’s office setting (plasma center experience not applicable) and a strong commitment to patient care and specimen integrity.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures (e.g., urine, fecal) with professionalism and care.

    + Clearly explain procedures to patients in a courteous and understandable manner.

    + Collect, label, centrifuge, split, freeze, and store specimens according to test requirements.

    + Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and verify accuracy.

    + Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature and handling protocols.

    + Maintain accurate records of maintenance data and decontamination procedures.

    + Update patient information and respond to inquiries regarding lab results.

    + Comply with OSHA, DEP, and internal safety regulations.

    + Attend annual department training sessions.

    Required Skills:

    + Phlebotomy

    + Blood Draw / Venipuncture

    + Specimen Collection & Processing

    + Customer Service

    + Pediatric through Geriatric Experience (preferred)

    Qualifications:

    + Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital or doctor’s office.

    + Experience in Family Medicine is a plus.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
