Job Description
This position is a senior level analyst position responsible for acquiring in-depth knowledge of the application, their software, architecture as well as any interdependencies in the Mount Sinai landscape. It also entails working independently in completing project tasks and leading the execution of tasks as part of any application implementation and support: system components, testing, documentation of workflows and other project information. In addition this position requires the ability to independently interact with clients and guide decision making as well as demonstrate critical thinking and follow through when developing solutions to identified issues.
The individual will be responsible for framework processes and methodologies involving departmental or cross-functional teams and planning, coordinating, and monitoring scope, requirements, schedules, budgets, resources, tasks, risks, staff, and deliverables. This position will also monitor the project from initiation through completion and organize and lead activities relating to project management and completion.
This position consults with business partners to define requirements and develop solutions, demonstrate a high level of analytical and operational thinking and ability to translate requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for IT solutions and integrating architecture.
This position is accountable for integrating and supporting all technology solutions that help the Security, facial recognition, visitor management systems and business application functions. This role will ensure systems are integrated and functioning in addition to the support of end users.
Qualifications
Education Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience Requirements
• Eight years of related experience. In-depth knowledge of associated technology areas that could impact area of responsibility; healthcare technology experience preferred.
• Areas of expertise in applications, system analysis, application program development
• 5+ years of experience in Visitor Management, Security systems, and facial recognition systems
• 5+ years of Cloud experience
• 3+ years of DevOps experience
• Provide technical expertise to conduct specific performance or functional tests associated with resolving issues.
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $109,000.00 - $163,695.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Responsibilities
1. Provide technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing cutting-edge uses of our IT systems that assist operational stakeholders in meeting their strategic objectives.
2. Participates and/or leads the review and design concepts for new systems and develops and documents the technical design for the integration and implementation.
3. Coordinates the development of comprehensive and strategic business cases with cost, service and benefit dimensions of proposed projects that are used at management and executive levels for funding and scope decisions.
4. Plans, coordinates and conducts the analysis of requirements; translate business needs into actionable documentation/specifications, including product roadmaps, risk mitigation plans, and use-case analyses.
5. Research and evaluate alternative solutions in pursuit of systems design solutions balancing performance efficiency with cost effectiveness.
6. Participates in the leadership of cross-functional and/or cross-divisional task forces to identify and document functional requirements, workflow, information sources and system specifications.
7. Develops the analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective solutions that support business processes, functional requirements and resource costs, including evaluation of existing applications and alternative uses of technology.
8. Advises on the consequences of actions; communicates risks and ensures understanding of these risks. Jointly develops risk assessment of plan with client, and provides ongoing communication.
9. Consults on the identification and definition of solution alternatives within the framework provided by Enterprise Architecture.
10. Demonstrate expert knowledge of the system and provide guidance to other staff in analyzing issues and the development of potential solutions.
11. Act as a point of escalation for complex multi system issues.
12. Demonstrate ability to organize work for other team members to achieve success
13. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
