    Minimum qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent practical experience.

    + 4 years of experience in a function with exposure to assurance activities and risk management.

    + 4 years of experience in an assurance role within a financial technology company.

    Preferred qualifications:

    + CPA, CIA, CISA or CAMS certifications.

    + Experience working with cross-functional teams.

    + Experience in assessing strategic, operational, technological, financial, legal, and regulatory risks.

    + Experience working with global compliance programs and managing assurance testing of varying complexity.

    + Understanding of a wide variety of compliance-related topics, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Safeguarding of consumer funds, Complaints handling, Refund operations, Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Regulatory Reporting.

     

    The Google Compliance team makes sure that our business is always consistent with the current financial regulations. Comprised of multitaskers, this team balances Google's legal and compliance requirements with the dynamic needs of our users and the values of our company. As part of this team, you proactively identify pain points and gaps in existing policy frameworks and find innovative solutions. You develop efficient compliance systems and work with teams to implement these across the organization. You are thorough in all you do and see to it that as Google pursues our next big idea, we always have our bases covered.

     

    The Payments Compliance Assurance (PC-Assurance) team plays a pivotal role in safeguarding Google Payments by providing independent and objective assurance over its compliance programs and controls.

     

    In this role, you will be responsible for conducting objective evaluations of these programs and controls, partnering closely with first-line-of-defense teams, Product Area Compliance Leads, Payments Legal Counsel, and various cross-functional partners. You will be responsible for assessing adherence to regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, internal policies, and other compliance obligations, ultimately strengthening our culture of compliance and effectively mitigating potential risks. While ensuring compliance is a shared responsibility, you will be instrumental in achieving these goals.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $107,000-$153,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     + Lead and execute end-to-end compliance assurance engagements.

    + Develop review scope, test plans, and documentation (workpapers, narratives, observations).

    + Assess the design and operating effectiveness of compliance controls.

    + Guide teams in remediation efforts and validate their implementation.

    + Contribute to Assurance Testing and scoping methodologies.
