As a Last Mile Director at Kuehne+Nagel, you will oversee the critical final stage of the supply chain, ensuring seamless delivery of goods from distribution centers to customers. As the Fulfillment Delivery Mile Manager, you will set a strategic vision to enhance our services within the Distribution sector, encompassing Last Mile, Less-than-Truckload (LTL), and Intermodal logistics for clients in/out of DC’s. You will collaborate with key stakeholders in Contract Logistics and other business units to promote Fulfillment Delivery services, develop new service offerings, and expand our market reach by acquiring new clients. Additionally, you will work closely with current operations to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within the Fulfillment Delivery area of Contract Logistics.

How you create impact

+ Collaborate with stakeholders to build action plans to improve the program

+ Identify process improvements, cost optimization and sustainability initiatives in collaboration with Supply Chain leadership

+ Create and maintain strong relationships with site leadership by ensuring timely, accurate, and professional operational support

+ Manage a national network of vendors to support Last Mile produce offerings.

+ Build a comprehensive strategy to maximize profitability for each site

+ Drive operational excellence by developing and improving KPIs and SLAs

+ Implement succession planning initiatives to create long-term value for Supply Chain

+ Collect and analyze data to establish global standards and drive improvements

+ Innovate and simplify processes across existing and future businesses while maintaining the highest quality standard

+ Deliver ongoing analysis, assessment, and implementation of IT systems within the supply chain to provide better data analytics

What we would like you to bring

+ Bachelor’s degree in business with a focus on Supply Chain, Management, or equivalent work experience

+ 7-10 years of Last Mile experience

+ 7-10 years of experience developing operational improvement strategies

+ 7-10 years of experience in working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams

+ 7-10 years of team management experience

+ Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel is a plus

+ Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies is a plus
