Reports to: Shop Supervisor
Full-Time: A typical work schedule is standard business hours, 8:30 a.m.– 5:00 p.m., with the flexibility to handle escalations or support during peak times or special projects.
Pay Schedule: Weekly
Non-Exempt: Compensation starts at $20 to $25 an hour, depending on experience.

Position Summary
The Auto Body Repair Technician/Painter plays a crucial role on our team, responsible for inspecting, repairing, preparing, and refinishing vehicle bodies to restore them to their original custom specifications. This includes bodywork, structural repairs, and painting, all done using proper techniques and tools, in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Essential Functions
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Inspect vehicles to assess damage and determine the necessary repairs.
+ Remove, repair, and replace damaged panels, bumpers, frames, and other body parts.
+ Prep surfaces by sanding, priming, masking, and cleaning for paint application.
+ Mix and match paint to exact vehicle color codes and apply using spray equipment.
+ Perform blending and finishing to ensure a uniform and professional appearance.
+ Operate all necessary tools and equipment, including welders, grinders, and spray booths, as required.
+ Follow manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.
+ Maintain accurate records of repairs and time worked.
+ Keep the work area clean and ensure equipment is maintained.
Minimum Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Completion of a vocational or technical program in auto body repair is preferred.
+ Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in auto body repair and painting.
+ Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
+ Proficient in the use of bodywork and painting tools and equipment.
+ Ability to interpret technical manuals and repair estimates.
+ Strong attention to detail, including color matching and surface finishing.
+ Knowledge of safety procedures and handling of hazardous materials.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
Additional Responsibilities
+ Employees may be required to perform duties outside their primary responsibilities or assigned department, as reasonably requested by management. These duties may occasionally occur outside regular working hours, provided they align with applicable labor laws.

+ Work is performed in a warehouse or garage environment.
+ May be exposed to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and painting chemicals.
+ Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
+ Must be able to use hand tools.
+ Requires frequent standing, walking, crouching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and using repetitive motions of hands or wrists; finger, grasp, handle, or feel; reach with arms and hands for extended periods.
+ Fast-paced, deadline-driven setting requiring the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
