    Job Description:

    What You Will Do

    • Primary technical support contact for customers.

    • Diagnose and resolve issues with data platforms, security tools, and cloud systems.

    1. Product installation: deployed on prem on physical hardware or in customer’s cloud. Something might not be downloading correctly, etc.

    2. product integration: highly integrated product with ticketing, log, security systems to operate. If the product isn’t analyzing anything for an alert for example, troubleshoot that. Might be API issues, the extension might be broken, authentication issues, etc.

    * In the future, since it’s an AI learning system, there might be more issues to solve with classification of alerts, etc.

    • Collaborate with engineering to address escalations and improve product quality. Very flat org (12 people) so support engineer is probably using slack simultaneously while troubleshooting, or slacking with the customer also. Very high touch.

    • Create and maintain knowledge base articles and technical documentation.

    • Identify trends in issues and recommend solutions to enhance performance.

    What You Bring

    • A passion for listening, diagnosing and solving problems for customers. Strong troubleshooting skills for integrations, security and data systems.

    • Must know what a container is, how to run basic Docker commands, to look at what the container is doing, if there is a lot of log output erroring out.

    • Also, we use Splunk internally as log agg and management system, so tech must be able to load something into Splunk and interpret the logs.

    • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). We use Python and Go, some JavaScript on UI. But we are heavy users of ChatGPT so if you need to get code snipit and drop in there and analyze, it’s ok. You get GitHub Copilot license and ChatGBT pro license. You don’t need to be an expert.

    • Familiarity with databases, datalakes and log tools (Postgres, Databricks, Splunk)—We use: Splunk, log analytics, S3 buckets, Athena, CrowdStrike, Auth Zero, probably about 24 different integrations with Cribble, MS Sentinel, etc. Backend retrieval autmented generation system, open source LLMs, etc.

    What Separates You from Others

    • Familiarity with compound AI components (LLM’s, Vector DBs). This tech support resource doesn’t have to know much about any LLM. Nothing outside of normal interaction. Know there is a stack, a LLM load balancer is there and generally understand it. The requests are going through an interface to the LLM. They need to know the container has an LLM in it and the container is executing on the GPU and if user’s performance is slow, that’s where the support engineer stops and looks at consumption, etc. – LLMs are used for 1. Entity classification and 2. Summarization and 3. Code generation. But not used to answer a broad problem by the product.

     

    Knowledge of AI and machine learning in cybersecurity.

     

    Experience shaping technical support functions in a startup.

     

    Skills in automation and workflow improvement.

     

    Background in technical support or related customer-facing roles.

     

    Understanding of cybersecurity tools and workflows.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
