We are seeking a highly experienced Transition Lead to oversee the successful transition of a Medicaid data warehouse and encounter claim processing solution from vendor management to a state-run model. This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in Medicaid data operations, system transitions, and healthcare data governance.
Transition Management
+ Lead the transition of the Medicaid data warehouse and encounter claim processing to a state-managed model.
+ Develop transition deliverables including operational documentation, data migration plans, and system integration strategies.
+ Execute transition plans with a focus on risk mitigation, knowledge transfer, and readiness tracking.
Operations Management
+ Oversee daily operations of the Medicaid Data Warehouse, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
+ Monitor ETL processes, data pipelines, and system health.
+ Define and enforce procedures for data ingestion, validation, transformation, and reporting.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
+ Lead a cross-functional team of analysts, engineers, and support staff.
+ Act as the primary liaison between IT, business stakeholders, and Medicaid agencies.
+ Provide regular updates on operational metrics and transition progress.
Issue Resolution & Support
+ Direct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for operational issues.
+ Maintain SLAs for issue resolution and guide teams on resolving data anomalies and claim discrepancies.
Compliance & Security
+ Ensure compliance with CMS regulations, HIPAA, and state data governance policies.
+ Implement and oversee data security protocols and audit processes.
Required Qualifications
+ 7+ years of experience in Medicaid data warehouse operations, transitions, or healthcare data management.
+ Proven experience with large-scale system transitions or migrations in government or healthcare settings.
+ Strong leadership and project management skills.
+ Deep understanding of Medicaid data structures, encounter processing, and federal reporting.
+ Foundational knowledge of ETL, SQL, and cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., AWS, Azure, Snowflake).
+ Experience with MMIS and working with state Medicaid agencies.
+ Strong technical writing skills for operational documentation and transition planning.
+ Familiarity with HIPAA and data security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) modernization.
+ Prior collaboration with CMS on Medicaid data initiatives.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $90.00/hr.
