We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cognos Developer to lead UI customization and enterprise reporting efforts for a state-level data warehouse solution. This role focuses on enhancing the Cognos user interface, managing reporting environments, and supporting business analytics through IBM Cognos Analytics and Tableau. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Cognos UI design, report development, and system administration.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead UI customization in Cognos Analytics, including themes, extensions, and styles.

+ Configure and manage Cognos environments: installation, security, performance tuning.

+ Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.

+ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver solutions.

+ Optimize report performance and troubleshoot technical issues.

+ Manage user access, roles, and permissions within Cognos.

+ Work with data architects and ETL teams to ensure accurate data modeling.

+ Implement best practices for Framework Manager, data modules, and metadata modeling.

+ Conduct user training and create documentation for Cognos UI and reporting processes.

+ Stay current with IBM Cognos Analytics updates and industry trends.

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, or related field.

+ 5+ years of experience with IBM Cognos Analytics, including UI customization and reporting.

+ Proficiency in Cognos Report Studio, Dashboarding, and Framework Manager.

+ Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Cognos extensions.

+ Familiarity with Cognos security, authentication, and role-based access control.

+ Strong SQL skills and experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or Snowflake.

+ Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

+ Ability to work independently and lead Cognos initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with Cognos Administration, server configurations, and upgrades.

+ Experience with cloud-based Cognos deployments.

+ Familiarity with Tableau is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $65.00/hr.
