    Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - not to exceed 19.5 hours per week

    Summary of Position

    This job requires general tutorial duties that are discipline specific to the Mathematics Department. The incumbent is responsible for tutoring duties that will help assist students who are in the Advanced Mathematics Laboratory.

    Minimum Required Education

    High School diploma or GED required AND major in mathematics or related field with enrollment in Pre-Calculus required. • Must have completed College Algebra and/or Elementary Statistics successfully.• Successful completion of Pre-Calculus or Calculus I preferred. •Must upload transcripts to prove enrollment in Pre-Calculus to be considered for position

     

    Minimum Required Experience

     

    One year wage earning experience preferred.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Must have ability to work cooperatively with people at all levels

    + Must be computer literate

    + Must demonstrate a high level of verbal and writing skills, as well as computational skills

    + Ability to use Microsoft applications and the usage of advanced mathematics software application.

     

    Provide good customer service to the students

    Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must be available for weekends and night shift.
