Job Description
Gilead's mission is to discover, develop, and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide. As a Sr. Manager, Finance - FP&A Clinical Program Finance, you are responsible for establishing strong business partnerships with the Virology Therapeutic Area team to provide comprehensive financial support and ongoing analytics.

What You Will Do
+ Lead financial aspects of governance and portfolio processes for several Virology assets
+ Lead the month-end and LE process for Virology, ensuring accuracy and streamlined processes.
+ Drive development of meaningful financial analyses and create effective presentations to communicate conclusions and recommendations to senior leadership.
+ Drive development and implementation of key process improvement initiatives. Proactively engage with Finance colleagues and business partners to develop continuous process improvements to planning, analyses and reporting.

The candidate must have the ability to lead and meet deadlines for multiple priorities and projects and take ownership of issues and resolve them in a timely manner. A "can-do" attitude is paramount.
+ Willingness to be hands-on: The individual must have a willingness to become involved in operations to understand the processes so that the person can be viewed as the financial partner by the business.
+ Provide Forward Thinking: The individual must be able to identify the interdependencies across different parts of the organization and proactively address the potential impact of issues with relevant parties.
+ Business Savvy and Financial Acumen: The candidate will possess exceptional financial, analytical and problem-solving skills. These skills must be balanced by sound business judgment.
+ Project Management: The candidate must possess the ability to actively manage the execution of projects that involve cross-functional stakeholders. This includes providing guidance on project scope and timelines, integrating the work of multiple teams into project deliverables, and ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
+ A BS or BA is required.
+ 8+ years of relevant experience in Finance, having held positions of increasing scope and responsibility. 6+ years of experience with an MBA degree.
+ Experience with project reporting, operational accounting and reporting is required.
+ Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with familiarity in Oracle - Hyperion, and Tableau preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ A CPA is preferred.
+ Prior experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry and supporting R&D is preferred.
+ Solution oriented, with good analytical capabilities.
+ Demonstrated success working in a deadline driven and multi-task environment.
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as an effective member of our team.

The salary range for this position is: $157,590.00 - $203,940.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
