As a Student Programs Specialist , you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the clinical learning experience for hundreds of undergraduate, graduate, and medical students who rotate through our system each year. Whether you're coordinating clinical placements or building strong relationships with academic institutions, your work will help inspire and guide future caregivers – and potentially future Logan Health employees.
What You’ll Do:
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for all student placements, observers, interns, residents, and fellows throughout Logan Health.
+ Coordinate onboarding, orientation, compliance, and access for all incoming participants.
+ Manage clinical affiliation agreements and maintain compliance with legal and institutional standards.
+ Oversee administration of our clinical placement software and maintain accurate records.
+ Partner closely with internal stakeholders and external academic programs to ensure seamless, high–quality learning experiences.
+ Assist in the planning and execution of healthcare career awareness events and school tours.
+ Support contract and property management related to student housing, as applicable.
+ Contribute to department policies, promotional materials, intranet/website updates, and annual planning processes.
What You Bring:
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, education, or a related field – or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ 1+ year(s) of experience in a healthcare setting.
+ Demonstrated experience in project management, event coordination, or facilitating training/orientation.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with brochure/flyer design, participant databases, or Microsoft OneNote.
+ Familiarity with credentialing, compliance tracking, and onboarding processes.
Personal Strengths:
+ Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
+ Detail – oriented and highly organized; capable of managing sensitive information with discretion.
+ Collaborative team player who can also work independently with minimal direction.

Qualifications:
+ Minimum of one (1) of the following required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare or education related field.
+ Equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities are acquired.
+ Minimum of one (1) year’s experience in a healthcare setting required.
+ Prior experience with project management, event planning/coordination, developing orientation training and/or facilitating people required.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office required. Prior computer experience creating brochures, flyers, and other promotional materials preferred. Administration of participant databases and Microsoft OneNote experience preferred.
+ Excellent organizational skills, detail – oriented, a self – starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
+ Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Job Specific Duties:
+ Responsible for Clinical Affiliation Contract management and completion of education and training required for contract management.
+ Develops and administers onboarding and orientation in conjunction with stakeholders. Collects, verifies, and maintains program participants’ background checks and all compliance data. Performs coordination of clinical placement within Logan Health (system).
+ Responsible for the administration of clinical placement software system.
+ Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to evaluate clinical placement, preceptors, contract limitations, and program conflicts.
+ As applicable to assigned area(s): Ensures all program participants and faculty are in compliance with policies, procedures, screening, hiring, and credentialing requirements as appropriate to assignment before scheduled start date.
+ Collaborates with Information Services (IS) and other departments to arrange appropriate electronic documentation access, computer access, and compliance training as appropriate.
+ Acts as the liaison between academic partners and Logan Health, ensuring high quality student experiences.
+ Performs audits, collects maintains, and analyzes program data and prepares reports as applicable to assigned area(s) and per protocol.
+ Works in collaboration with assigned leadership to maintain program’s policies and procedures.
+ Develops program promotional, orientation and procedures as applicable to assigned area(s)s. Develops marketing materials and coordinates with marketing department per department protocol.
+ Responsible for department website, intranet, and clinical placement platform as applicable to assigned area(s).
+ Responsible for assigned area(s) budgetary resources, assists in budget preparation and planning processes in collaboration with assigned leadership.
+ As applicable to assigned areas(s): Participates with healthcare career awareness activities to include, but not limited to; Healthcare Occupation Students of America (HOSA), Area Health Education Centers, local student career fairs, etc.
+ As applicable to assignment in Undergraduate Student Programs
+ General responsibilities, above, focused on the following programs: Undergraduate Programs, except Physical Therapy Aide & Physical Therapy
+ Student and Faculty, where appropriate.

+ Management and coordination of observer program within Logan Health.
+ Coordinates and participates in proctoring services.
+ As applicable to assignment in Graduate/Medical Residency Programs:

+ Performs property management of resident/medical student housing and contract management of properties as applicable to assigned area(s).
+ Tracks and processes payments for preceptors and distributes housing payments as applicable to assigned area(s).
+ Responsible for all aspects of University of Washington School of Medicine Clerkships as applicable to assigned area(s) and per department protocol.
+ Coordinates with appropriate stakeholders to facilitate credentialing process for Medical Residency and Fellowship programs as applicable to assigned area(s).
+ Serves as LH Coordinator for the Family Medical Residency of Western Montana (FMRWM) as applicable to assigned area(s) and per department protocol.
+ Manages Intern program to include, but not limited to; hiring process, scheduling, assigning supervision and timekeeping.
+ Development and growth of internship programs for Logan Health.
