Job Description
Lead a top finance team in the Cell Biology Business Unit at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., influencing strategic decisions and achieving financial goals.
Responsibilities:
+ Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Vice President & General Manager and the leadership team, focusing on driving growth and value creation
+ Lead and mentor the finance team and operating partners to develop enhanced skills and a keen business sense
+ Coordinate core operating mechanisms, including the Annual Operating Plan process, Quarterly & Monthly Business Reviews, and forecasts
+ Develop financial and business models to support initiatives such as new product development, return on investment analyses, acquisitions, and product end-of-life ramp-downs
+ Collaborate with commercial colleagues to develop and model large customer deals, ensuring contract compliance
+ Develop and maintain analytical models and tools to drive growth initiatives and improve business decisions
+ Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Expertise in financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, project management, and technical accounting knowledge
+ Leadership qualities aligned with Thermo Fisher Scientific’s 4i values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement
+ Strong business and industry knowledge, with the ability to implement robust financial processes that drive effective decisions
+ Proven ability to identify and champion efficiency improvements, encouraging an atmosphere of continuous development
+ Demonstrated success in recruiting, developing, and leading professional teams, providing constructive feedback through performance and development processes
+ Experience leading cross-functional and cross-country teams, and building organizational relationships across functions and geographies
+ Proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Education/ Experience:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or another relevant analytical background
+ 14+ years of relevant work experience within a global organization
+ 9+ years of management experience
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $192,700.00–$260,000.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
