Forensic Laboratory Analyst I-III

Pay: 60-80k DOE

The Forensic Laboratory Analyst I-III is responsible for conducting DNA extraction, quantification, and serology on forensic casework. This role ensures compliance with ISO 17025 standards, manages evidence handling, maintains lab equipment and supplies, and may provide expert testimony in court.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Perform DNA and serology testing on forensic samples.

+ Adhere to SOPs, quality standards, and safety protocols.

+ Maintain evidence integrity and chain-of-custody.

+ Support method validation and equipment maintenance.

+ Testify in court when required.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field (Molecular biology, statistics and or population genetics, forensic sciences, biochemistry, chemistry, or related field.)

+ 1-6 years of forensic DNA lab experience.

+ Graduate degree may offset up to 2 years of experience.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive materials.
