Position Overview
The **UAM Engineering Services Lead Analyst** is responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance, tracking, and delivery of project data related to costs and timelines to clients. Work assignments involve applying complex procedures and supporting other administrators and analysts when issues arise. This role provides our utility clients with the services and solutions needed to manage their assets efficiently and effectively by performing the duties described. This position is an individual contributor role while also leading a team in key processes and deliverables. This position is in an office and/or in a remote setting.
Job Duties
• Assist the project leadership by tracking project progress, and ensuring that project components are aligned with timelines, budgets, and client expectations.*
• Oversee and lead a team of administrators and/or analysts as their first line of supervision.*
• Identify areas for process improvement within the team, develop and implement new procedures, and track the effectiveness of changes to enhance efficiency and overall performance.*
• Work with team members to answer their questions and ensure that they can proceed with their work assignments.*
• Lead client meetings, present data on costs and timelines, provide insights, and update clients on project progress.*
• Prepare for client meetings by developing meeting agendas, outlining key discussion points, and organizing relevant data to facilitate productive and goal-oriented conversations.*
• Conduct thorough investigations to resolve client issues; answer questions regarding billing and timeline data, identify trends, and deliver recommendations.*
• Assist in vendor relationship management.*
• Prepare, review, and process invoices and billing statements for engineering services.
• Develop cost estimates for engineering projects by gathering data, analyzing project requirements, and coordinating with leadership.*
• Manage joint-use applications, client proposals, and data within client-specific software, including Google Suite, SPANS, NJUNS, and GIS platforms.*
• Manage project cost and timeline data across various spreadsheets and platforms.*
• Effectively communicate between team members and clients through both written and verbal channels.*
• Follow project workflow procedures to ensure efficiency.*
• Manage files and records using electronic filing systems.*
• Maintain confidentiality practices in accordance with company and client policy.*
• Ensure the proper care and maintenance of any vehicle and equipment assigned including regular inspections, maintenance checks, and prompt reporting of any issues to the appropriate supervisor or maintenance personnel.
• Understand and execute proper use of document management systems, proper filing, and document import/export.
• React safely and appropriately in emergency situations.
• Report and respond timely and accurately to the supervisor.*
• Participate in employee and professional training events as assigned.
• Travel (5%) for on-site job duty training, projects, or meetings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules.
Qualifications
• **Required:** High-school diploma with a minimum of 4 years in an office support role or similar position with a strong background in customer service, invoicing, and managing high-volume data.
• **Required:** Obtain and maintain professional certificates and licenses commensurate with project requirements.
• **Required:** Advanced computer skills. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Google Workspace, data entry, and utility data tracking software applications, such as SPANS, NJUNS, and GIS platforms. Must be able to learn new client-required system software.
• **Required:** Prior electric utility or telecommunications industry knowledge.
• **Required:** Exemplary communication skills including written and verbal. Ability to write instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to draft intelligible, professional, and accurate correspondence. Effectively and clearly communicate and present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• **Required:** Perform highly complex arithmetic computations.
• **Required:** Apply knowledge to navigate advanced project data problems and client needs; must be able to guide others to work through problems. Identify, address, and resolve complex or challenging problems involving multiple variables and varied situations.
• **Required:** Must begin to demonstrate people and team development skills.
• **Preferred:** Bachelor’s degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university.
• **Preferred:** 4-6 years prior experience in an office support role or similar position with a strong background in customer service, invoicing, and managing high-volume data.
