    ANCC Magnet designated UPMC Passavant is currently hiring a full-time Team Lead for our Transport department at the McCandless location.

    Shift Details:

    + Monday-Friday 6a-2:30p

    + Rotate working 1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday

    + Shifts will be discussed further during the interview

    Responsibilities:

    + Coordinate and assist with the evaluations and training of all personnel in area of responsibility.

    + Perform all duties of Transport position as outlined in job title Transporter.

    + Report any and all problems and suggestions to the Shift Supervisor.

    + Coordinate the monthly in-services for the department with the Manager.

    + Maintain control, location, and inspection of wheelchairs and/or stretchers.

    + Assist Supervisors with monthly system wide competencies on existing staff.

    + Develop an open working relationship with unit personnel and Supervisors.

    + Ensure that the daily work of all team members is completed and ensure that they go to their assigned locations.

    + In the absence of the Shift Supervisor temporarily act in a supervisory capacity; assume the responsibilities of this individual.

    + Maintain a courteous professional demeanor and communicate appropriately with patients, visitors, hospital personnel and fellow employees at all times.

    + HS Diploma/GED.

    + 2 years relevant experience required.

    + Knowledgeable about all safety, universal precaution, fire, evacuation, emergency care, and disaster policies and procedures.

    + Knowledgeable of all transporter responsibilities and hospital layout.

    + Requires the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete Transport duties

    + The ability to use Transport equipment.

    + Ability to handle multiple demands in high stress and emergency situations is required.

    + Ability to communicate professionally with various user groups is required. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

    + Act 34
