    This position is responsible for managing regulatory activities, regulatory accounting, and financial efforts to support SWEPCO regulatory activities. The role involves determining total company revenue requirements, interacting with various regulatory parties, overseeing financial statements, and conducting cash flow analysis.

    Job Description

    What You'll Do:

    + **Regulatory Filings Management:** Oversee regulatory accounting for filings (iTCOS, 4CP analysis, FERC Form 1, EMR ROE).

    + **Testimony Preparation:** Provide accounting testimony and sponsor exhibits for regulatory commissions.

    + **Model Development:** Create and manage regulatory accounting and financial models.

    + **Budget and Financial Modeling:** Develop and oversee budget, financial, and cash flow models.

    + **Regulatory Schedule Coordination:** Prepare and coordinate regulatory schedules across business functions.

    + **Accounting Record Queries:** Conduct queries on accounting records and analyze transactions.

    + **Revenue Requirement Analysis:** Participate in determining revenue requirements, rate base, operating income, and cost of capital.

    + **Management Presentations:** Create presentations and present results to senior and executive staff.

    + **Regulatory Interaction:** Communicate with commission staff and attend meetings, workshops, and hearings.

    + **Settlement Support:** Manage accounting efforts for settlement discussions and financial analysis.

    + **Legal Support:** Assist legal teams with regulatory applications, briefs, and motions as needed.

    + **Regulatory Compliance Strategy:** Analyze legal requirements and develop compliance strategies based on regulatory activities.

    + **Working Group Participation:** Engage with commissions and utilities to establish or update filing requirements.

    + **Regulatory Analysis Preparation:** Manage regulatory analysis and filings for SWEPCO.

    + **Financial Data Analysis:** Analyze financial data for company performance.

    + **Commission Decision Impact:** Consider past commission decisions in financial analyses.

    + **Management Reporting:** Inform management of accounting implications related to regulatory initiatives.

    What We're Looking For:

    _Regulatory Case Manager (Grade 9)_

    Education:

    + Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related degree.

    Experience:

    + Minimum 6 years of general accounting experience or 4 years directly related to regulatory accounting or other regulatory activities.

    Licenses/Certifications:

    + CPA preferred

     

    _Regulatory Case Manager (Grade 10)_

    Education:

    + Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related degree.

    Experience:

    + Minimum 8 years of general accounting experience or 8 years directly related to regulatory accounting or other regulatoryactivities.

    + CPA required active or expired.

    Other Must Haves:

    These are additional expectations for the job and could include specific work experience, license / certifications, preemployment testing, expectations about travel, shift work, etc.

     

    + Some travel required.

    + Overtime expected at times during the processing of cases.

    + Strong written and oral communication skills.

    + Strong computer skills: accounting software, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word.

    **Compensation** : Will be determined based on grade level and skillset after interviews are conducted. Range can be from $112,869 - $172,333.

    Compensation Range:

    $112,869.00-146,730.50 USD
