    Position Overview

    + **Job Title:** Union Relief Driver

    + **Location:** Frederickson, WA

    + **Company:** LeMay/PCR (Waste Connections)

    + **Job Type:** Full-Time, Union Position

    + **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PMOccasional overtime and Saturdays as needed

    Compensation

    + **Starting Pay:** $32.71/hour (91% of union scale)

    + **Top Scale Pay:** $35.65/hour after 692 hours worked

    + **Stable 40-hour workweek** with overtime opportunities

    Key Responsibilities

    + Safely operate a **garbage truck** on assigned local routes to collect solid waste

    + Follow route sheets and dispatcher instructions to service customers efficiently

    + Conduct **pre- and post-trip inspections** , checking fluids, tires, and safety equipment

    + Operate **hydraulic hand controls** to lift and load refuse

    + Perform **physically demanding tasks** , including loading/unloading waste without assistance

    + Interact courteously with customers and represent the company professionally

    + Complete other related duties as assigned

    Working Conditions

    + Frequent **lifting, pushing, and pulling** of objects over 50 lbs

    + Exposure to **outdoor weather** , including rain, heat, and cold

    + Work around **moving mechanical parts** , fumes, and moderate noise levels

    + Must follow all **safety protocols and procedures**

    Minimum Requirements

    + Valid **Class A or B CDL** with air brake endorsement

    + At least **2 years of relevant driving experience**

    + Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

    + High school diploma or equivalent preferred

    + Basic knowledge of truck components and inspection procedures

    + **Safety-Sensitive: YES**
