WROC-TV/RochesterFirst.com in Rochester, New York is hiring a Production Director who is responsible for researching, planning, managing and producing news programming.

+ Code and Direct daily live local newscasts and other live and prerecorded productions using Ross OverDrive and ENPS

+ Work closely with News Producers, Photographers, Engineers and other Directors to enhance our final on-air product

+ Edit with technical proficiency and visual effectiveness using Adobe Premiere

+ Work well in a collaborative team environment; multitasking, problem-solving and making last-minute decisions under pressure and tight deadlines

+ Be self-sufficient, managing multiple projects with competing priorities.

+ Perform other job-related requests and duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:

+ Bachelor’s degree in communications, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience is preferred

+ Experience in news operations and/or production is preferred

+ Ross OverDrive, ENPS and Adobe Premiere experience a plus

+ Demonstrate excellent communication skills; fluent in English, oral and written

+ Available to work all dayparts (mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays), as well as extended hours as assigned

Compensation $ 17-$18 /hour commensurate with applicant’s experience and skill level.
