Job Information
The Sr. Trade Compliance Manager will be the lead of the Regulatory function within Doosan Bobcat Trade Compliance team and will report to the Director of Trade Compliance. This role will be critical in ensuring the needs of the business are met while mitigating risk, reducing spend, and maximizing efficiency through a rapidly changing regulatory landscape.
This role will focus on the oversight of rapidly changing import and export regulations with clear and timely communications to the relevant functions within the company, developing new processes as needed, support strengthening of audit program to keep up with current regulatory environment, oversee valuation reconciliation program, support development of duty drawback program, support responses to US Customs, be project lead for other opportunities as they come up, and maintain strong relationships with other functions within the company. This role will be a change agent that will focus on creating standard work to ensure consistent, quality results are delivered by the Trade Compliance team.
This position is open to a location of Minneapolis, MN or Statesville, NC. It offers a hybrid work arrangement with flexibility to split time between the office and home.
Role & Responsibility
+ Stay up-to-date on regulatory changes that impact the company, communicate timely to impacted functions, and support creation of new processes as needed.
+ Work closely with Trade Compliance Operations team to ensure strong audit program.
+ Lead critical projects such as value reconciliation, duty drawback, and other critical projects.
+ Contribute to the execution of the trade compliance roadmap and strategic planning.
+ Support the business to resolve export, import and regulatory inquiries.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into simple statements and propose/develop practical business solutions
+ Actively support and participate in cross-functional teams
Job Requirement
Required Skills and experience:
+ Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
+ Certified Customs Specialist/Certified Export Specialist and/or Licensed Custom Broker preferred.
+ 7+ years of relevant trade compliance experience.
+ Travel Required: <25%
+ In-depth understanding of various trade-related topics such as classification, valuation, Incoterms, recordkeeping, auditing, country of origin, duty optimization/Free Trade Agreements, duty drawback, Buy American Act, US export control, US & CA broker management, etc.
+ Accomplished leadership experience with a focus on strong communication, ability to establish trust, effective delegator, and to consistently deliver results.
+ Must have critical thinking skills, excellent research and analytical skills, strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills and be detail oriented.
+ Proficiency with ACE.
Preferred Skills and experience:
+ Trade compliance experience within a manufacturing environment.
+ Familiarity with Oracle and SAP ERP systems.
+ Proficiency with Trade Compliance software, i.e., e2open and/or SAP GTS.

Pay Transparency: Minimum Pay: $141,629.00 - Maximum Pay: $212,444.00
