Description

The Pharmacy Practice Residency is a one-year post-graduate residency program in an institutional practice setting that provides training as set forth and approved by the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP). The program will provide the opportunity to advance the resident's pharmacy practice beyond entry-level professional competence and develop the skills, knowledge, and attitude necessary for the provision of high-quality pharmaceutical care.

Required Qualifications:

+ Graduated from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited college of pharmacy.

+ California Pharmacist Intern License upon hire or

+ California Pharmacist Registered upon hire.

+ California Pharmacist Registered within one hundred and twenty (120) days of hire, or as outlined by program policies, whichever is sooner.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ PharmD

+ Experience in hospital pharmacy practices as a student, intern, or pharmacist.

+ Demonstrated computer literacy

+ Demonstrated drug knowledge, IV knowledge, and compounding ability
