    Overview

    PLEASE NOTE: THIS ROLE IS HYBRID - 3 DAYS IN OFFICE - IN ALLENTOWN, PA

    The Agile Operations Lead is accountable for overseeing and guiding a team of Scrum Masters. This role involves staffing, coaching, mentoring, and facilitating Agile practices to ensure fast product development through transparency, inspection, and adaptation. The Agile Operations Lead is recognized as an expert in Agile methodologies and works independently, under minimal guidance from higher management. This role includes direct responsibility for leading a team of Scrum Masters. LI-Hybrid #INDPPL

    Responsibilities

    **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** :

    + Ensure teams adhere to Agile and SAFe practices and principles and IT operating model processes as defined by LACE, where applicable.

    + Promotes a continuous learning culture and facilitates an effective large scale adoption of SAFe framework.

    + Coach, mentor, and facilitate the Scrum Masters to adopt a truly Agile mindset, including ownership, self-management, and empowerment.

    + May serve as a peer mentor to other Scrum Masters, providing guidance on Agile practices.

    + Oversee the execution of Sprint Ceremonies (e.g., Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, and Retrospective) conducted by the Scrum Masters.

    + Ensure sprint metrics (e.g., team velocity, flow) are tracked.

    + Create a collaborative environment that allows the Scrum Masters and stakeholders to interact closely.

    + Assist team with identifying and removing impediments, including cross value dependencies to enable teams to deliver value.

    + Work with IT Organization to provide resourcing to agile and project teams, reviewing allocation of existing staff to maintain productive workload levels.

    + Interview and hire qualified team members following company’s vendor management strategy.

    + Contribute to developing, standardizing and communicating new processes that advance delivery practices.

    + Onboarding new Scrum Masters to PPL, Agile ways Working and teams they will be supporting.

    + Serve as a Lead Scrum Master on key projects as necessary.

    + Provide guidance and oversight as a financial steward to ensure Scum Masters are charging time appropriately.

    + Partner with Agile Coaches and Release Train Engineers (RTEs) to ensure Scrum Master’s are enabling delivery of value and improving our ways of working via Communities of Practice.

    + May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.

    Qualifications

    **REQUIRED EDUCATION** :

    + Bachelor's Degree

    **REQUIRED EXPERIENCE** :

    + 10+ years of related work experience including at least 3 years of supervisory experience.

    + Strong track recrod of on-time, on-budget, and to specification delivery of IT products.

    + Ability to effectively execute an agile project.

    + Ability to manage relationships with internal business customers.

    + Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops, proficient in MS Tools.

    **PREFERRED** :

    + Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

    + SAFe 6.0

    The company reserves the right to determine if this position will be assigned to work on-site, remotely, or a combination of both. Assigned work location may change.
