POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and performing a variety of complex accounting functions to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role involves preparing financial reports, analyzing account trends, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and accounting standards. The Senior Accountant also plays a key role in month-end and year-end closing activities, audits, and process improvements.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Provides training and support to other staff in their accounting functions.
+ Maintain adequate funding in all company bank accounts.
+ Monitors refund requests for compliance with distributor policy
+ Completes and submits merchant account applications
+ Prepares and inputs wires for vendor and distributor payments
+ Produce the month-end close process in conjunction with subsidiary controllers;
+ Oversee the creation and review of all month-end general ledger, job cost, and equipment entries;
+ Make recommendations towards sound business decisions while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures;
+ Develop best practices for accounting processes across subsidiaries providing consistency, efficiency, and accuracy in financial reporting;
+ Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supplemental management reports
+ Collaborate with other departments on designing and building operational reports
+ Collaborate within the finance team as well as cross-functionally with various business units
+ Labor tracking and optimization through Oracle software.
+ Manage close process and checklist.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
+ Bachelors degree in relevant accounting or finance, plus 5+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
+ Proficiency in Oracle Software and Excel spreadsheets.
+ Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, kneel, and lift from 15 to 20 pounds occasionally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Noise, dust, lighting, temperature and physical/ergonomic hazards are typically of those usually found in an office environment.
