    **UW Medical Center -Renal/Nephrology Clinic** has an outstanding opportunity for a **PROGRAM COORDINATOR/SCHEDULER** .

    + Opportunity to provide career growth **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION** The Renal/Nephrology clinic providers offer personalized support to you and your family — from newborns to seniors — in all areas of health and well-being. **RESPONSIBILITIES**

    + Review and prioritize incoming referrals from multiple sources using their knowledge of each physician’s specialized skill set

    + Triage incoming referrals to assure the appropriate specialist will be reviewing referrals

    + Handle intake of each referral requests, ensuring complete information is received and entered into the electronic medical record system in a timely manner

    + Schedule initial patient appointments either in person or via Telemedicine based on provider and patient preference

    + Coordinates appointments for the patient at the appropriate facility and assists with urgent insurance authorization or financial assistance

    + Manage and resolve a high volume of phone inquiries and messages

    + Review appointment follow-up requirements and expectations with patients Educate them to ensure adequate understanding of the purpose of each appointment and follow-up recommendations

    + Offer financial assistance to self-pay and underinsured patients. Provide them with the necessary steps to apply for financial counseling

    + Serve as a primary program contact to other departments, patients, providers outside facilities **QUALIFICATIONS**

    + High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty

    + Three years of Patient Support Service experience **OR**
