The Project Director supports Stetson University by working to promote a positive, safe, and appropriate environment for learning, living, and working. Serving as a member of the Wellness and Recreation team, the Project Director will guide collaborative program development, program delivery, program effectiveness assessment, and training completion monitoring. This includes general and targeted communication, as well as education and prevention to high-risk communities and the general Stetson community. In alignment with Stetson’s Strategic Priorities (https://www.stetson.edu/other/about/media/sp-brochure.pdf) , the Project Director will advise and support PACT (Peer Advisory Council on Title IX) in creating a culture of consent on campus, supporting the community’s well-being. Please note that this is a full-time, grant-funded position supported by the U.S. Department of Justice's Office on Violence Against Women through September 30, 2026. Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of grant funds. The organization plans to apply for additional funding in future grant cycles to support the continuation of this role.
Hire date will be no sooner than 7/1/2025.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Employment duties include, but are not limited to the following:
+ Work with the Executive Director for Title IX and Deputy Coordinators to develop and review processes, responses, and policies for consistency with federal and state laws, National College Athletic Association, and athletics conference requirements, and other University policies with an emphasis on investigating alleged cases of sexual assault, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking
+ Maintain a Community Collaborative Response Team to enhance response systems, education, and prevention programs related to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking
+ Ensure prevention and intervention strategies are relevant and include target populations of students
+ Advise and supervise student employees and volunteers associated with PACT
+ Facilitate ongoing victim services from Family Life Center through on-campus victim advocate hours, referrals, event partnerships, and more
+ Maintain the mandatory prevention program for incoming students by enforcing compliance and adding additional first-year training to augment online content
+ Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with related campus partners, community resources and services, and community leaders
+ Collaborate with community partners to train campus law enforcement and participants in the disciplinary process to respond effectively to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking
+ Develop cross-training disciplines and measure the efficacy of programming for all members of the Stetson community
+ Research and stay up-to-date on best practices, current trends, and legislation pertaining to the field of Title IX, Gender-Based Misconduct, Investigation and Reporting, and other related topics through local and State advocacy organizations, the Stetson College of Law Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy, NASPA, and other means
+ Perform other duties as requested
Required Skills
+ Knowledge of prevention and education strategies
+ Ability to establish, maintain, collaborate, and work with students, faculty, and staff, and to work independently
+ Ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Required Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, public health, criminal justice, or related field
+ Knowledge and understanding of the content (domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and related topics such as gender, bystander empowerment, and trauma-informed processes), curriculum development, and an understanding of the most effective method of content delivery

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
+ Ability to listen well, and demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, all individuals, while remaining impartial and objective
+ Experience in project management and facilitation skills
+ Strong knowledge of research and best practices as they relate to prevention and/or victim/survivor advocacy for domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking, specifically in a college setting
+ Grant management experience (including grant writing, reporting, and budgeting)
+ Victim advocate experience preferred
Work Environment: This job is in an office-based setting.
