We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team at Dayton-Granger, Inc., an aerospace and aviation component manufacturer based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. In this role, you'll take the lead in strengthening supplier quality across our global supply chain, working closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams. Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred).
+ 3+ years of experience in supplier quality within a regulated manufacturing environment.
+ Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAA requirements.
+ Hands-on experience with supplier audits and corrective actions.
+ Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
+ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Supplier Quality Engineer (CSQE).
+ Experience working with global or multi-site supply chains.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Qualify and evaluate new and existing suppliers through audits, risk assessments, and capability reviews.
+ Ensure supplier compliance with AS9100, customer, and regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, NADCAP).
+ Generate and maintain quality inspection plans for incoming materials and supplier components.
+ Implement statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis techniques to monitor supplier performance trends.
+ Track key supplier KPIs (PPM, OTD, NCRs, defect trends) and lead root cause and corrective action activities (8D, 5 Whys, FMEA).
+ Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities to evaluate and disposition non-conforming supplier materials.
+ Investigate supplier quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
+ Collaborate with Procurement and Engineering to develop supplier quality plans and performance metrics.
+ Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure supplier quality aligns with operational needs.
+ Maintain accurate supplier quality documentation and support both internal and external audits.
+ Act as the primary quality liaison between DG and external suppliers.
+ Support risk mitigation efforts by identifying critical suppliers and tracking quality trends.
+ Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) per AS9102 and manage PPAP documentation.
+ Perform additional tasks assigned by management
+ Follows all DG safety procedures as per company policies and per the Facility Engineer/Safety Director
