Under general supervision, the Assembly Tooling Specialist will support current product production through the testing and repair of BCP machines/equipment according to the specifications from Engineering. Tests and validates production machines according to Engineering protocols. Performs various activities to test for proper operation and quality issues of BCP machines, performing necessary rework and repair when issues are found.
In this role, you will:
+ Work closely with the manufacturing engineering and operations team to produce fixturing/tooling to assist in building Mini-hydraulic Excavators and Small Track-Type Tractors.
+ Collaborate with the operations, quality, and manufacturing engineering teams to successfully execute manufacturing and engineering changes.
+ Troubleshoot and develop solutions for manufacturing issues.
+ Initiate tooling improvement projects.
+ Perform quality checks on machines, parts, and tooling.
+ Set up and operate CNC equipment, lathes, milling machines, drills, grinders, band saws, belt/disc sanders, and weld machines.
+ Follow documented procedures standard work and routings to perform safe and defect free operations to create and machine components
+ Use lifting devices to move heavy components of more than 35 lbs.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Machining experience in a Heavy Fabrications/Machining manufacturing environment
OR
+ Machinist technical program (Machine Tool Technology, etc.)
+ Continuous work history with progressive movement
+ Intermediate proficiency (basic skills/knowledge; capable of functioning independently in operating inspection equipment, gauges and tools
+ Intermediate level of knowledge of technical requirements such as tolerance and fit.
Role requires overtime as needed to support business needs.
Physical requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
+ Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods
+ Willing and able to perform repetitive operations
+ Willing and able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Top candidates will also have:
+ Welding experience
+ 2+ years of continuous employment in welding, machining, or manufacturing
+ Continuous work history with progressive movement
+ Caterpillar product knowledge
+ Intermediate proficiency using a computer
+ Further education beyond high school

+ This is a 1st shift position with an entry pay of $24.00/hr.
Summary Pay Range:
$24.00 - $30.00
