Position Description
Harvard Divinity School seeks to appoint an adjunct instructor/lecturer in American religious history to teach one course during the fall semester 2025 and one course during the spring semester 2026 (from August 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026).
Scholars working in any tradition, topic, or time period are welcome to apply, including those whose teaching and research situate the United States in a transnational context.
All instruction for HDS takes place on our Cambridge, MA campus and is in-person.
Basic Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate the following qualifications:
(1) Completed advanced degree (PhD preferred; ABD at minimum)
(2) Prior experience teaching at the graduate level
(3) Sensibility to a multi-religious student body.
Publications in the field are desirable, though not required.
