What you'll do...
As a **Senior Data Scientist** supporting Operations Analytics, you will serve as a key strategic partner to the cross-functional team and oversee development and application of automated, action-oriented insights to drive associate engagement, experience and support. You will partner closely with the Business, Product, & Technology teams to build solutions that scale, with speed. You will lead and develop a team of analytics, forecasting and data science professionals, partnering with business stakeholders to address business questions and business needs with data and insights.
You’ll make an impact through:
Driving Client/Business Needs: Build and maintain consistent relationships with business partners and proactively identify and deliver their needs. Create a sense of urgency across cross-functional teams, create innovative strategies, drive alignment and action.
Business Thought Partnership: Accountable for developing and delivering thought leadership in defining the problem statement, exploring viable solutions to address business questions. Translate business requirements into strategies, initiatives, and projects, align them to business strategy and objectives. Seek and provide constructive feedback, anticipate latent needs/questions, and respond appropriately.
Operations Analytics: Lead a team responsible for analytics around Sam's operations center. 1- Drive day-to-day business needs, and 2- work towards long-term goals such as improving Sam's reporting for associates, associate’s experience, and optimized Operations KPIs.
Efficiency & Automation: Continuously reduce the workload by creating self-service tools, automating the existing pipelines, prioritizing and allocating resources towards business goals.
Horizontal Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive and operationalize horizontal capabilities that drive scale and speed, including ensuring effective governance of data, effective use of the roadmap to drive visibility and prioritization and focus on self-service, automation, and AI.
Developing high-performance team: Focus on development of a high performing team, ensuring training in technical skills, role modelling Walmart’s Leadership Expectations to inspire trust, and driving accountability, execution, and collaboration. Mentors team members on product roadmap and development.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 2- Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 3 - 5 years' experience in an analytics or related field.

Data science, machine learning, optimization models, Master’s degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R, Using open source frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch), We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
