Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Community Engaged Medical Education, the **Assessment & Data Specialist** serves as the lead data analyst for the Human Dimension (https://www.hmsom.edu/en/education/curriculum/human-dimension-overview) (HD) program at HMSOM. This position collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders, including those outside the HD program, and is responsible for assessing and reporting on the achievement of program goals, as well as supporting research efforts. This is a grant-funded position with the potential for continued employment beyond the initial four-year period.
This position is based out of our campus in Nutley, NJ. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days on site per week.
This is a four-year private grant funded position with a potential for continued employment within the School of Medicine at the conclusion of the four years.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
+ Bachelor's degree in Data science, statistics, information management and technology, educational psychology, public health, epidemiology or other related fields with 3 years of experience OR Master's degree in a related area with minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
+ Initiative and motivation for public health research, systems evaluation and solution building.
+ Knowledge of survey research principles and quantitative and qualitative research methods.
+ Familiarity with statistical (e.g. Stata, SPSS, SAS, etc.) and qualitative (e.g. Dedoose, N-vivo) analysis software.
+ Experience working with survey and data collection software (e.g., SurveyMonkey, Google Forms, Qualtrics, RedCap).
+ Ability to work cohesively with multiple stakeholders (e.g., faculty, staff, students, community health partners, sponsors) in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment, as well as independently.
+ Outstanding judgment, initiative, and attention to detail.
+ Ability to successfully support multiple programs/projects simultaneously.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
+ Master's Degree in a related area with minimum 1 year of relevant experience
+ Experience with evaluation of public health interventions and analysis of community engaged programming.
+ Experience with health professions education, specifically medical education.
+ Knowledge of organizing and implementing data dashboards and reports using a range of methods (e.g., Google Sheets, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI)
+ Working knowledge and familiarity with HIPPA guidelines, and IRB guidelines
+ CITI training
+ Bilingual Spanish

Starting at $70,668.00 Annually
