SHIPPING/RECEIVING CLERK
Receives incoming material and prepares materials for shipment while following shipping practices and procedures and transportation routing, schedules and requirement
What you will be responsible for:
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
• Determines method of shipment
• Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers
• Follows shipping practices/procedures and transportation routing schedules and requirements
• Operates a forklift
• Maintains a safe and audit-ready work area
• Works within guidelines of Department of Transportation for hazardous shipments
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
• Supervises the Shipping/Receiving staff and oversees daily work during absence of the Supervisor
• Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
What you will need to be successful in this role:
• Thorough knowledge of FAA and Regulatory requirements
• Microsoft office basics
• Skill to Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Apply concepts of basic math
• Proficiently use Syteline Item Maintenance, SRO maintenance, Incident Maintenance, Inventory, Purchasing screens and BI reporting
• Must maintain a valid state driver’s license
• Successfully complete forklift training
