    We have an opportunity for an energetic, motivated, and self-directed change agent to lead our ongoing compliance and risk reduction efforts for the international region and domestic small site locations. This region includes international landed companies in Australia, UK, Canada, Germany and MENA region as well as over 150 small sites globally. This position will directly oversee a team of 2 EHS professionals and indirectly over 15 EHS professionals in the international regions. This role offers the EH&S professional an opportunity to lead world class EHS programs, performance and drive risk reduction and continuous improvement globally.

    What You Will Do

    + Lead and develop a team of EHS professionals to assure compliance with applicable federal, state, local (in-country), customer and company EH&S requirements.

    + Understand the goals and priorities for the RTX and RAY EHS organization and lead EHS teams within the region and support structures to accomplish them through collaboration, thoughtful influence, sound strategy, effective communications and motivation.

    + Develop and maintain EH&S change management process for domestic and international small sites to understand changes in the site portfolios and their risk profiles

    + Develop and maintain EHS support structure for domestic and international small sites

    + Responsible for implementing and continuous improvement for the EH&S small site management system to effectively manage the EH&S risks at those locations

    + Ensure EH&S performance for sites, programs within the portfolio to annual plans, initiatives, read across and key KPIs are meeting goals

    + Ability to accept change and shifting priorities in a constant shifting environment

    + Build a high performing team, boost morale, and create a positive working environment with both direct and indirect teams

    + Identify pain points and barriers for team members and collaborate with teams to develop/implement strategies to remove them.

    + Partner with local functional leaders to streamline processes or resolve problems where EHS is a stakeholder or is affected.

    + Partner with Raytheon central EH&S team members and other regional leaders to share and develop common solutions for EH&S issues and initiatives

    + Develop positive relationships and communication with key site and program leaders

    + Support incident investigation through identifying EH&S risk and complete due diligence; investigate root cause for RIDIIs, near misses and incidents.

    + Recognize, evaluate, and control hazardous workplace conditions.

    + Ensure applicable sites are properly prepare and ready for upcoming safety and environmental audits and collaborate with sites to proactively close out post audit corrective action plans on-time.

    + Provide guidance and support on proper documentation in preparation for permits and liaising with governmental bodies

    + Maintains EH&S Management System Conformance

    + Achieves and maintains consistency of EH&S record keeping and documentation with organizational and regulatory policy

    + Audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

    + Review investigate, analyze, and interpret data from injuries and near-misses ensuring corrective actions are completed on time, and all necessary documentation is in place.

    + Interact with employees and key leaders of all levels, promote relationships. Work towards building partnerships and influencing across the portfolio to provide actionable improvement programs.

    + Contribute to the development and implementation of EH&S strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement.

    Qualifications You Must Have

    + Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.

    + Experience with identification and mitigation of EH&S hazards.

    + Knowledge and the application of the principals of regulatory requirements.

    + U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Qualifications We Prefer

    + Previous experience managing international teams and sites

    + Previous experience partnering with site and functional leaders

    + Previous experience solving problems with BU and RTX teams

    + Strong presentation skills

    + Project management and execution skills

    + Understanding of international EH&S related requirements and certifications

    + Professional Certification in the EHS field (ASP, CSP, CIH, etc.).

    + Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    + Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects and programs in a fast-pace role and demonstrate effective prioritization and implementation skills.

    + Ability to provide clear, concise, and effective verbal communications.

    Please consider the following role type definition as you apply for this role.

     

    **Onsite** **:** Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

     

    The salary range for this role is 162,000 USD - 326,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

     

    RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

     

    Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

     

    Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

     

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
