What You Will Do:
We're seeking to hire a Materials Lab Technician for the Weekend Night Shift. This integral team member will be part of the Columbus Forge Quality department. Responsibilities include -
+ Perform daily walk arounds to prior to testing
+ Receive-in and inspect testing specimens for accuracy
+ Sort priorities as needed
+ Operate multiple machines for Specimen testing
+ Comply with all training required, including Quality procedures as well as MCL Manuals and Standard Work.
+ Log testing data in UGA
+ Maintain required log books
+ Fabrication of thermocouples
+ **_Weekend night shift Fri-Sun 7p-7a . The shift includes an additional compensation - hourly premium percentage._**
Qualifications You Must Have:
+ HS Diploma or GED
+ Experience working in a team environment and handle multi-tasking duties.
+ Required to successfully pass annual vision screening.
+ Experience with SAP, Solumina, and/or MRP will be a necessity.
+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ 1 year in materials laboratory setting or materials-related field.
+ Ability to read and interpret detailed technical specifications and drawings.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
