    * Materials Characterization: Drive the development of dimensional and materials characterization for next-generation semiconductor manufacturing, analysis of measurement performance, stability, and verification through reference metrology.

    * Equipment Ownership: Acquire intimate knowledge of metrology equipment and take responsibility to ensure that tools are in control as monitored by statistical process control (SPC). This requires also close engagement and collaboration with equipment vendors and operations support.

    * End-to-End Expertise: Develop and evaluate ideas, and define the path for best methodologies from concept through implementation. Generate technical documentation to share learning, improve training procedures, and propagate best practices.

    * Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and multi-company teams that include engineers engaged in process integration, unit process, and metrology to create robust and innovative solutions.

    * Emerging Technology Evaluation: Evaluate emerging technologies to discern their suitability for real-world product applications, conducting thorough assessments to inform decision-making.

    Required technical and professional expertise

    * Bachelor in Material Science, Engineering, Physics, or equivalent

    * Experience with design of experiments and statistical process control

    * Proficient in materials characterization

    * Proficient in ellipsometry data modeling

    Preferred technical and professional experience

    * Expert-level knowledge in polarized optical metrology

    * Broad metrology experience including x-ray diffraction

    * Master or PhD Degree in Material Science, Engineering, Physics, or equivalent
