Hiring range: $80,000.00 - $87,500.00 annually
This position has an anticipated work schedule of Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm; schedule is subject to change
As a member of the IT Project Management Office (PMO), this position is responsible for organizing and controlling project activities in coordination with project teams (Project Managers, Business Analysts, and customers). Works to solidify business needs and project scope, create and monitor schedules and tasks, understand and track project budget, and perform other administrative activities to promote successful project execution.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
+ Coordinates project plans, budgets, and schedules within the project lifecycle for Agile and Waterfall projects.
+ Writes and maintains project documentation while ensuring resource accessibility to project artifacts.
+ Participates and documents outputs from key Agile rituals like sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, sprint reviews, and/or key Waterfall milestone reviews/meetings.
+ Completes assigned tasks and/or deliverables according to established timetable and department standards.
+ Works with business to elicit information; develops information for requirements matrix, product backlog, service profiles, and customer profiles.
+ Assesses and develops business need and value when reviewing new customer ideas and demands for information technology support.
+ Assists in drafting statements of work and necessary documents for request for proposal (RFP) procurement processes.
+ Assists in estimation exercises to help build schedules and resource requirements for work packages and project deliverables.
+ Monitors project progress, reports on project status, and handles any issues that arise.
+ Identifies and monitors project risks and implements risk management plans in accordance with department standards.
+ Prepares and delivers professional stakeholder communications and implements stakeholder management plans.
+ Implements project quality plans around business requirements and ensures project quality standards are being met.
+ Assists with maintenance of websites, campaigns, and SharePoint sites.
+ Prepares and assists in the development of change management/organizational transition management plans to include building customer roadmaps, journeys, training, governance, and strong end-user communications.
+ Performs other duties as required.
Supervision Exercised:This classification does not have supervisory authority; however, may be required to provide expertise or limited guidance or direction to employees, such as overseeing work quality, training, and guidance. Typically serves as a subject matter expert on the scope of functional area.
Supervision Received:Receives general supervision. This classification typically performs job duties by following established standard operating procedures and/or policies. Regular direction, guidance, and coaching from supervisor may be expected. There is a choice of the appropriate procedure or policy to apply to duties. Performance reviewed periodically.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile project management processes.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft products (including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and able to operate standard office equipment.
+ Must have strong organizational skills (including multitasking and time management); possess a high attention to detail; be punctual, self-motivated, and reliable; and able to problem solve.
+ Skill in prioritizing and organizing multiple tasks and the ability to complete projects in a timely manner. Ability to respond in a flexible manner and reprioritize as situations change.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write and produce clear and concise written reports with attention to grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
+ Ability to successfully interact and sustain working relationships with stakeholders, sponsors, and team members with a positive, can-do attitude. Ability to provide excellent customer service.
+ Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Required Education & Experience
+ High school diploma or equivalent education.
+ Two years of experience with project management tools, administrative tasks, and customer service.
+ Associate’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of the required experience.
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for two years of the required experience.
Preferred Education & Experience
+ College coursework with an emphasis in project management, business administration, computer science, information systems, or related field.
Licenses/Certificates
+ Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Pre-Employment Requirements
+ Must pass conditional post offer background investigation, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.
Work Conditions
Duties are performed primarily in an office and remote work environment dependent on Department discretion and business needs; some travel may be required.
