The Supply Technician assigned to the Consolidated Installation Property Book Office (CIPBO) and is responsible for conducting logistical operations in supply accountability and asset visibility procedures; inputting property book level entries and adjustments and work the CIPBO Team Chief in developing resolutions when correct actions are required. The Supply Technician must be certified and fully proficient with the Global Combat Supply System-Army (GCSS-Army). The Supply Technician is responsible for maintaining high leadership standards and technical expertise to deliver best customer service.
Responsibilities
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ GCSS-Army certified at the Property Book.
+ Works within the framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures and the same in addressing corrective actions needed to resolving property book matters.
+ Ability to operate Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-A) at the property book level; processing lateral transfers, conducting standard hand receipt and property management actions, Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL)s and other required property book level transactions.
+ Ensure all authorized assets listed in the Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) are on hand or on a valid request.
+ Executes property transfers, receipt, storage and issue activities including but not limited to posting and editing documentation within all appropriate STAMIS.
+ Ensure that all assets disposition instructions are executed in a timely manner.
+ Validates and ensures material readiness.
+ Performs analysis of equipment on hand requirements (Class II, III, IV, V, and VII).
+ Review all authorized documents periodically.
+ Requisitions material to meet mission requirements.
+ Conducts inventory preparations, documentation, and reporting per prescribed regulations.
+ Ensure compliance with all property authenticated directives within established guidelines.
+ Identifies equipment status to include completeness, serviceability, and accountability.
+ Performs other duties as assigned per team chief/supervisor to meet organizational/operational objectives.
+ Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
+ Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
+ There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold weather conditions.
+ Rarely will an employee be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
+ Work may require to lift up to 50 pounds, stooping, climbing and prolonged standing and/or sitting.
+ Physical requirements include lifting, climbing stairs and extended sitting or standing
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
+ Computers, Fax machine, Copier, Printer and Phones. Personal computer systems, Microsoft Office Programs, any other pertinent software and general office equipment.
+ Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas.
+ Use of Government Furnished vehicle.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALITIFICATIONS:
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Valid driver’s license.
+ Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
+ Must maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Liberty installation.
+ Must be able to pass a NAC-I background and pre-employment drug screening
+ GCSS-Army certified (Property Book or Unit Supply level), must be able to obtain within three months of employment
FAMILIAR WITH:
+ Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-A)
+ Logistics information Warehouse (LIW)
+ Logistics Information System (LIS)
+ Logistics Integrated Database (LIDB)
+ Integrated Logistics Analysis Program (ILAP)
EXPERIENCE:
+ Five (5) years' experience with Property Book Operations at the Battalion or Brigade level.
+ Must possess in-depth expert knowledge of U.S. Army logistics and supply program relationships, concepts and methodologies pertaining to supply/property book accountability and supply areas of logistics operations.
+ Must possess a thorough knowledge of all applicable Army supply regulations, DA Pamphlets, policies and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple hand receipts and hand receipt holders.
+ Must be familiar with property book accountability processes/procedures related to Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL), lateral transfers, hand receipts (temp and long term), and Statement of Charges (SOC).
+ Analyzing equipment on hand requirements (Class IX, VIII, VII. IV and II) identifying potential shortages.
+ Knowledge related to requisition of material to meet requirements. This includes request process using GCSS-A, and other local purchasing options.
+ Conducting inventories (monthly, sensitive items at property book, unit supply levels; includes documentation, and reporting.
+ Managing technical aspects of unit property book records per AR 710-2. Performing in both manual and automated
+ Extensive Knowledge of all applicable Army supply regulations and DA Pamphlets
+ Must have technical experience and comprehensive knowledge of Government regulations, policies, procedures, and
+ instructions form the Team Chief/Supervisor.
+ Must have comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and equipment management processes, related regulation, and is required to ensure effective accountability of all assigned property.
SKILLS :
+ Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Project and SharePoint preferred.
+ Ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work in a team-based, highly collaborative environment and comply with all safey policies.
+ Capacity to work well under pressure and tight deadline
+ Excellent organizational, analytical, written and oral communication skills, possessing basic proficiency in English language (reading and writing), arithmetic, and customer service skills.
